FSQA Officer

About the Role

Our Rockhampton Plant is seeking a passionate Food Safety & Quality Assurance Officer to join our FSQA team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory standards throughout the production process. This includes monitoring products against specifications, conducting production, hygiene and quality inspections, liaising with regulatory bodies and supporting internal and external audits. You will also document non‑conformance issues, implement corrective actions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

About You

• Successful completion of the required AUS-Meat competency levels and any other statutory qualifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic supervisory skills
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety
• Demonstrated computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-task
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• Previous experience in a similar FSQA or QA role within the meat industry
• Exposure to compliance audits and HACCP systems
• Familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives in food safety
