Shipping Officer

About the Role

The JBS Northern Ops Shipping & Docs team is currently seeking a Shipping Officer to join the team on a full-time basis. Based at our Northern Ops head office in Riverview (Ipswich), you will work alongside a team of ten experienced shipping professionals in a fast-paced yet supportive export environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating export activities from production through to order fulfilment, booking and loadout for designated markets. You will review inventory and production levels to ensure the timely processing of shipping orders, allocations and instructions, while maintaining accurate export order information within the ERP system to support efficient and on-time fulfilment.

You will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including Sales, Production, Documentation, loadout sites, shipping lines and transport carriers, to ensure the smooth movement of export shipments. A key part of the role will involve ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customer requirements, while also providing high-quality support and service to both internal and external customers as needed.

About You

• Previous experience in an export documentation or shipping logistics role highly regarded
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills along with the ability to multi task
• Demonstrated administrative, logistics and data entry skills
• Intermediate MS Office skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a tight knit team
• Ability to use initiative
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Please note: Due to the nature of this role, this position is required to be based onsite full-time. Remote or hybrid working arrangements are not available at this time.
