About the Role

The JBS Northern Ops Shipping & Docs team is currently recruiting a details focused Shipping Officer to join the team in a full-time capacity. Based at our Northern Ops head office in Riverview (Ipswich) and working alongside a team of ten (10) experienced Shipping professionals, this role will provide you with the opportunity to establish yourself in a busy but supportive export shipping environment within a global organisation.   

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Entry of shipping/vessel data into the JBS ‘Food Trader’ System
• Order processing
• Liaising with shipping lines, transport companies, distribution centres and customers
• General maintenance of the Food Trader System
• Reviewing inventory and production levels to allow timely processing of shipping orders, shipping allocations and shipping instructions
• Allocation of orders to sites for packing
• Being actively involved with all aspects of freight operations within your assigned region
• General admin duties as required

About You

• Previous experience in an export documentation or shipping logistics role highly regarded
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills along with the ability to multi task
• Demonstrated administrative, logistics and data entry skills
• Intermediate MS Office skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a tight knit team
• Ability to use initiative
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
