About the Role

Our Northern Ops Head Office team is currently recruiting an experienced Livestock Clerk to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Livestock & Cold Stores Accountant, the primary purpose of this role is to support the Livestock team with Accounts Payable and general administrative functions.  

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Accurate reconciliation and payments of all livestock transactions including cattle, freight and feed
  • Liaising with the Livestock Buyers and interdepartmental staff
  • Liaising with vendors regarding kill information and payments
  • Organizing saleyard reports and paperwork
  • Accurate creation and maintenance of livestock vendors
  • Relief of various Plant Livestock Clerks
  • Production and distribution of daily and weekly reports
  • Ad hoc duties as required

 

About You

  • Basic livestock and/or beef industry experience advantageous
  • Previous experience working within the livestock or agricultural industry advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, specifically with MS Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated analytical abilities
  • Ability to organise a busy workload and set priorities to meet conflicting deadlines
  • High level of initiative
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills
