About the Role

JBS Australia is currently recruiting a Feedlot Accountant to join the Northern Ops Finance team in a full-time capacity. Based at Riverview, Ipswich, and reporting to the Feedlots Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting a portfolio of feedlots within the Northern Division. This role would best suit someone early in their Accounting career looking to further develop their experience within a large multi-site organisation.  

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support on all matters relating to the Feedlot financial processes
  • Assisting the development of ad hoc reports as required by the Senior Management team
  • Collecting and recording data for preparation of timely and accurate weekly/ monthly results/reports
  • Preparing month-end reports including analysis of operating costs
  • Preparing journals and general ledger reconciliations
  • Managing data and systems for our third-party feedlots
  • Coding of Livestock and General Accounts Payable invoices
  • Supporting the business plan and annual budget process; working closely with key stakeholders to build financial forecasts based on the company’s strategic direction
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

 

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce or related discipline
  • Member of, or eligible to commence studying towards CAANZ or CPA (support provided)   
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with data reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, QlikSense or equivalent) advantageous
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable in handling data and numerical analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be energetic, passionate and enthusiastic
