About the Role

JBS Australia’s Northern Ops head office is located in Riverview, Ipswich, and operates a chef catered canteen for our employees and guests. Our canteen operates Monday to Friday, for breakfast and lunch.

Reporting to our Executive Chef and working closely with our Catering Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of meals
• Cleaning the food preparation areas, cooking equipment and utensils
• Ensuring the dining room (fondly known as ‘The Bunk’) is clean, tidy and presentable at all times
• Assisting with preparation for special events including regular morning teas, fundraising events, guest visitors, senior/executive meetings

About You

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment advantageous, though not required
• Excellent customer service skills and the desire to always go above and beyond
• Ability and willingness to take direction from others
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
• Ability to work across a variety of shifts (morning and afternoon)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Great time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
