About the Role

Due to the continued growth of the Northern Operations business, we are currently recruiting an experienced Boning Room Yield Production Manager to join our team in a newly created, full-time capacity. The Boning Room Yield Production Manager will travel to all Northern Ops processing sites on a rotational basis to review, assess and strategize process improvements within our boning room to ensure we maximise our yield and profitability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing current boning room processes and finalise production opportunity strategy for the Northern business
• Completing yield analysis review and provide improvement strategy
• Engaging with site boning room and plant leaders to maximise production opportunities and continue on our continuous improvement journey
• Developing and coaching site leadership on production best practice
• Coaching and mentoring boning room forepersons to effectively manage yield including both white bones and cutting lines
• Monitoring and maintaining product specifications and improvement opportunities
• Liaising daily with data analysts and production leadership
• Developing and monitoring production requirements and capacities
• Confirming yield analysis and benchmarking for the JBS Northern team

About You

• Extensive experience in a meat production processing environment
• Demonstrated expertise in boning best practice
• Demonstrated expertise in boning and trimming beef to a world class standard
• Expert knowledge of beef specifications and yield requirements
• Demonstrated experience in senior production management role
• Expert knowledge in boning room revenue maximisation
• Ability to lead and engage a large experienced senior leadership team
• Good problem-solving skills
• Experience with continuous improvement
• Ability to engage, coach, and mentor staff in relation to new process improvements and requirements
• Ability to travel to all JBS Northern sites regularly (Queensland and New South Wales)
• Excellent communication skills
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
