We're looking for an Associate Buyer to join our Group Procurement team, the function responsible for supporting procurement activities across all JBS Australia business units. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys analysing data, building strong supplier relationships, and finding smarter, more efficient ways of working.

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Category Manager, you'll support sourcing and category management activities across a range of spend categories, helping deliver value through cost optimisation, supplier performance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

      • Support sourcing and category strategies through spend, market, and supplier analysis.
      • Assist with procurement planning and forecasting to ensure continuity of supply.
      • Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
      • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and value creation.
      • Support supplier onboarding, contract administration, and negotiations.
      • Contribute to procurement reporting and data analysis.
      • Collaborate on Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Inventory Management process improvements.
      • Support regional and global procurement projects as required.

 

About You

You'll bring:

      • A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
      • Procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience, or a strong understanding of these functions.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound commercial judgement.
      • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
      • Strong organisation and time management skills.
      • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
      • CIPS qualifications (or working towards them) will be highly regarded.
