About the Role

Due to a recent internal development opportunity, the JBS Shipping & Docs team is currently recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Team Leader to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Shipping & Logistics General Manager, the AP Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the processing of a high volume of accounts payable ocean freight, domestic freight, storage and any exportation invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising a small AP team ensuring a strong work ethic and positive culture
  • Final checking and cross-referencing invoices for input against Food Trader payment approval reports prior to releasing for payment
  • Posting invoices from Food Trader to be interfaced into SAP
  • Manually keying invoices for payment into SAP and taking up credit notes referencing shipment order numbers for identifying Plants, GL Accounts and Cost Centres
  • Providing customer service to both internal and external customers in relation to invoice payment, actioning payment requests and providing dates and proof of payment
  • Reconciling accounts against statements
  • Filing invoices by type, posting date and in alphabetical order 

 

About You

  • Previous experience in a high-volume AP/data processing environment
  • Previous leadership experience advantageous though not required
  • Ability to identify basic cause and effect relationships
  • Ability to respond calmly in difficult situations whilst maintaining a strong customer service focus
  • Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
