About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator to join our Port Wakefield team. Reporting to the HR Manager, this essential role is responsible for the management and return to work of injured workers and employee health and wellbeing programs. In addition to this function, this role also involves regular treatment of injured works within the scope of Occupational First Aid.

 

The role of RTW Coordinator will involve:

  • Processing of claims, certificates and invoices in a timely manner
  • Liaising with injured workers, department managers and health and insurance providers
  • Maintaining records within our health and safety systems (SOLV Health and SOLV Injury)
  • Contributing to our site safety culture though the development of small projects to boost awareness of injury prevention and management
  • Regularly connecting with new workers to ensure correct technique and identifying potential areas of concern
  • Administering First Aid treatments as required

 
The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 6:00am-2:36pm.

 

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar RTW role
  • Hold relevant state issued certification desirable (for the right applicant formal certification and training will be provided)
  • General understanding of WHS principles
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to working outside of the normal scope of hours as required
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly developed administration skills, with the ability to effectively organise and prioritise conflicting tasks
  • Proven leadership qualities including the ability to engage and build a support base through leading by example
  • Creative and relentless approach to problem solving
  • Accepts responsibility and ownership of their decisions
  • Must hold Australian working rights
