About the Role

Seven Point Australian Pork (SPP) is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Maintenance team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Plant Manager and Consulting Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall mechanical, electrical, refrigeration and ancillary systems that ensure the smooth operation of all plant and equipment. The Maintenance Manager will also lead a small team of Tradespeople and Apprentices with the support of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing maintenance and engineering systems of control appropriate for the plant operations
• Developing and implementing appropriate equipment maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability of plant
• Monitoring daily plant maintenance activities to ensure priorities are known and met
• Providing direction, advice and assistance to the maintenance and production staff
• Providing clear and concise communication to internal stakeholders regarding maintenance activities
• Understanding the root causes of downtime; designing and implementing solutions to eliminate those causes
• Providing direction, advice and assistance to the maintenance and production staff in maintenance-related issues
• Promoting safety values and participating in a well-developed site safety culture

About You

• Possession of Trades or Engineering qualifications
• Previous experience in a similar maintenance leadership role in a large, industrial environment
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment advantageous
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Ability to take responsibility and ownership of decisions
• Ability to plan and organise project and maintenance activities to optimise the use of available resources
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and inspire the team
