About the Role

Seven Point Australian Pork (SPP) is currently seeking a Boiler Attendant to join our Port Wakefield Pork Processing Facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Boiler Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient firing, operating and monitoring of the Plant’s three gas fired boilers. Our Ideal applicant will possess an Advanced Boiler (MSMBLIC002) Licence with 12 months of hands-on experience. For the right applicant we are prepared to provide comprehensive and accredited training at our expense. This is a permanent full-time opportunity. 


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • The safe and efficient operation of three Gas Fired Boilers
  • Operating, monitoring and testing of boiler, condenser water and water treatment systems
  • Undertaking sundry maintenance tasks (Cleaning of Gambrels)
  • Reporting any boiler maintenance tasks to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Start-up and shutdown of Boilers as required
  • Monitoring and testing Boiler safety systems
  • Testing of boiler water for conductivity and regulate chemical dosing
  • General housekeeping and other duties as directed

 

Ordinary Shifts: 12:00pm-8:36pm Monday- Friday, with occasional weekend work as required.  

 

About You

  • Possess a current License to operate an Advanced Boiler (MSMBLIC002)
  • A Mechanical Mindset and understanding of the inner workings of a Boiler
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Positivity attitude
  • Clear communication
  • Possess of a current Drivers License and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to attend and pass a Medical with both Functional and D&A Screening;
  • Sound attendance history and a willingness to work 38 hours per week + reasonable overtime
  • Sufficient literacy and numeracy abilities to complete training as required
  • Australian working rights
