As a Workers Compensation Coordinator - Complex Claims you will play a pivotal role in:

 

  • Provide effective and timely management of complex workers compensation claims across the southern BU.

  • Develop and strengthen relationships and build trust with appropriate stakeholders including health professionals, rehabilitation providers, the insurer and site teams.

  • Provide support to the wider BU Injury Management team.

  • Ensure the completion of all appropriate administration relating to ‘high risk’ workers compensation claims.

  • Identifying areas for opportunity and education within the business unit that will ensure the best possible outcomes for our team members and the business in relation ‘high risk’ workers compensation claims.

  • Working in conjunction with the wider injury management, safety and HR teams to identify and implement change in our ‘We Care’ process.

  • Actively promotes behaviours that support JBS values in relation to safety and rehabilitation.

  • Own and develop solutions / strategies for the BU’s high risk workers compensation claims.

  • Provide training to management and employees on best practice solutions for high risk workers compensation claims.

  • Develop understanding among managers of legislative obligations and the benefits of effective case management for the rehabilitating injured/ill employees and business goals.

  • Maintain records in accordance with legislative requirements within the Injury Management system.

  • Attending (if applicable) any appropriate meeting with health professionals, rehabilitation providers, the insurer and site teams.

  • The development and maintenance of return to work plans appropriate to the BU high risk cases.

  • Prepare monthly reports for key BU stakeholders on situation.

 

 

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong drive for operational excellence. You should have:

 

  • Have an Allied Health qualification - Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Occupational Therapist or similar is essential

  • Demonstrate excellent in building trust, and all interpersonal communication skills & possess integrity and discretion

  • Have recent demonstrated experience in end to end management of high risk workers compensation claims and associated best practices

  • Use their strong planning and time management ability to prioritise effectively.

  • Have the ability to influence, engage and work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups of internal & external stakeholders

  • Be flexible to travel and have a current valid Driver’s License - Class C or C-A
