Training & Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Training & Development Manager to lead the learning and capability strategy at our Brooklyn site. This is an exciting opportunity to drive capability uplift across production, maintenance, value-add, cold stores and support functions, while shaping workforce development pathways that support site performance, safety and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will also lead and develop a diverse team of trainers fostering collaboration, accountability and a strong culture of learning across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering the Training & Development strategy for the Brooklyn site
- Coordinating operational, compliance, and job‑specific training across all departments
- Ensuring audit‑ready training records and compliance with WHS, Food Safety, HACCP and customer standards
- Leading the onboarding and induction experience for all new employees
- Supporting career pathways, apprenticeships, traineeships and leadership development
- Managing and coaching a team of Training Coordinators, Assessors and Trainers
- Enhancing learning systems, reporting accuracy and training process efficiency
- Partnering with internal leaders to build capability, develop talent pipelines and uplift on‑the‑job training
What you will bring to the table:
- Experience in Learning & Development, Capability, or HR Development (3–5+ years preferred)
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Learning & Development, Education, Business or related discipline
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of adult learning, instructional design and competency‑based frameworks
- Experience delivering training in manufacturing, logistics or food processing environments
- Familiarity with OHS, food safety, HACCP or other compliance training requirements
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple programs while maintaining accuracy and audit readiness
- Experience coaching and leading training teams
