We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Talent Acquisition Coordinator. Reporting to the Talent and Engagement Lead you will collaborate and contribute to all facets of recruiting success throughout the Brooklyn Plant. 

About the role:

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will play a important role in the success of hiring the best possible talent. This is a fast-paced environment and as such you will need to be exceptional at time management, identifying priorities, quick at picking up new processes and most importantly, bring with you a Positive, Happy and Proactive Personality.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position
  • End to end recruitment for Industrial, Commercial & Trade staff
  • Screen applicants, perform phone interviews, face to face interviews and reference checks
  • Coordinate pre-employment medicals and on boarding 
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand the nature and challenges of their business unit
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport
  • Research, recommend & build new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Assist in establishing a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the Company, both internally and externally
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition

About you:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with high volume recruiting, both Industrial and Commercial
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork
  • Ability to prioritize, multi skill and deal with tight, high pressure deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Great knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Skills in database management and record keeping
  • Experiencing managing foreign labour (Visa holders)
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  • A flexible proactive approach
  • A strong commitment to work for a value driven organization with a positive attitude
