At JBS, we foster a positive and inclusive culture that values diversity and teamwork. We are committed to your professional growth, offering robust career development opportunities within one of the world's most respected organisations. JBS Australia is a leading meat processing company, committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers both domestically and internationally. We pride ourselves on our innovation, sustainability, and dedication to excellence.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Sales Assistant to join our dynamic Southern Sales Team.  This is a critical, multi-faceted role acting as the central hub connecting our customers, sales team, production planners, and logistics squads. It offers a fantastic career development pathway, including regular plant visits to build your operational knowledge and industry expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will take ownership of supporting daily sales operations across six core pillars:

  • Sales Admin & Order Processing: Enter new sales orders into Food Trader, allocate production orders, distribute confirmations, and closely track shipped/unshipped orders.
  • Customer & Account Support: Serve as a lifeline for our key accounts, providing production updates, managing shipping details, and helping develop new product specifications and labels.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner tightly with Production Control Planners (PCP) and the shipping team to ensure seamless delivery and manage urgent air freight orders.
  • Data & Analytics: Maintain and analyse sales and inventory data to support smart, data-driven commercial decisions.
  • Inventory Control: Collaboratively monitor stock levels to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Marketing & Brand Support: Support the team with exciting brand activations and customer-facing promotional strategies.

What you will bring to the table:

  • Tertiary/Undergraduate qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Strong computer literacy across MS Office, specifically intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Experience with Food Trader is a plus!
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You are someone who stays calm, professional, and customer-focused in fast-paced or challenging situations.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a heavy workload, multitask, and maintain a razor-sharp eye for accuracy.
  • An energetic, proactive, and enthusiastic approach. You are a natural continuous-improver who sees an opportunity for system enhancement and acts.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, keeping safety (WH&S) and company values at the forefront of your daily interactions.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • The chance to be part of a leading company in the meat processing industry.

Are you ready to be part of the 3rd largest Food & Beverage company in the world (just behind Nestle & Pepsi!) and have the opportunity to shape the future of our Operations strategy, working closely with leaders across the region?

We want to hear from you!
