Sales Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the sales team in managing domestic and export sales of smalls. Your primary responsibilities will include customer service, order processing, and assisting with sales strategies to drive growth in the Southern region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales ownership/responsibility to applicable markets, as designated by your line manager.
- Provide general support to the team.
- Enter new sales into Food Trader and distribute confirmations to customers.
- Allocate orders in Food Trader for production.
- Maintain, update and follow up shipped and unshipped orders
- Assist with reporting and analysis of sales data and information.
- Assist sales team to communicate and deliver required service levels to customers.
- Provide key accounts with production updates and shipment information.
- Maintain and grow customer relationships in conjunction with the sales team.
- Liaise with the shipping team on schedules and details for relevant orders.
- Support the sales team to manage inventory.
- Liaise with PCP (Production Control Planners) on production, labelling, and specification maintenance.
- Arrange and follow through timely completion of air freight orders.
- Process and follow up e-claims for B2B and B2C as required.
- Other relevant duties as directed by your manager.
What you will bring to the table:
- Undergraduate qualifications in Business/Marketing.
- Demonstrated good computer literacy in Excel, Word, and Outlook (intermediate to advanced Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Responds calmly in difficult situations maintaining a strong customer service focus.
- Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-skill.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
