SAP Planning Specialist

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an SAP Planning Specialist to lead the enhancement of the Maintenance planning function across our dynamic Southern group. This includes five fast-paced manufacturing facilities and one feedlot. You will play a pivotal role in providing direction, support, and expertise to our site engineering teams, assisting with the implementation and optimization of SAP Maintenance planning activities.

In collaboration with JBS Northern planning teams, you will drive continuous improvement across the division by identifying and implementing best practices and improvement opportunities. A key focus will be enhancing Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs and ensuring consistency and efficiency across all Southern sites.

Key Responsibilities Include (But Are Not Limited To):

Engineering Leadership & Management:

• Oversee all planning and scheduling processes across Southern sites.
• Act as the key liaison between the Planning team and Master Data team.
• Develop and implement an improved maintenance scheduling process.
• Introduce metrics to enhance scheduled compliance for planned work.
• Monitor and optimize planning activities annually, quarterly, monthly, and weekly.
• Coordinate and manage Shutdown planning processes.
• Lead the development and application of maintenance plans.
• Facilitate Weekly Planning review meetings.
• Improve PM budget forecasting and alignment with SAP planning practices.
• Drive consistency in planning processes across all sites.
• Ensure all capital projects include relevant maintenance planning considerations.

Continuous Improvement:

• Proactively analyse downtime events and root causes, ensuring maintenance planning interventions are applied consistently.
• Leverage production and maintenance data to identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and optimize PM.
• Lead and manage Planning Improvement initiatives across sites and divisions.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance/engineering role in manufacturing, mining, or similar industries.
• 5+ years in a Senior Planning/Superintendent position.
• Trade or degree qualifications in mechanical/electrical field (preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
• Experience in leading change using structured change management processes.
• Expertise as a power user of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM).
• Proven ability to foster a collaborative, 'ONE' team environment.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and mentor a team.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• Considerate of others' perspectives with a focus on system improvement.
