About the Role
JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting an experienced Production Control and Planning Coordinator (PCP) to join the team at our Diamond Valley Pork processing facility in Laverton. The PCP will be responsible for planning operational supply demands and understand production specifications and constraints to ensure efficiency and minimise stock holding risk. This is a permanent full-time role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Generate daily/weekly optimised production plans and schedules that balance supply and demand variables.
- Generate a labour resource plan optimised to production schedule requirements.
- Work closely with the Production and Sales teams, delivering clear communication and alignment of business objectives.
- Optimising plant resources and costs through identification and execution of scheduling improvements.
- Driving continuous improvement in the planning/scheduling process and participate in specific projects as required.
- Plan and project manage new product implementation inclusive of evaluation of equipment and process capability.
- Resolve production planning issues as required, utilising appropriate procedures, frameworks and adhering to legislative requirements.
- Compile weekly production reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement within each department.
- Develop process and cost improvements for inventory, manufacturing and production control systems (eg. packaging costs and transport costs).
- Facilitate effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including plant customers.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures to maximise safety in the workplace.
About You
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing processes and planning/scheduling within a complex and fast-moving production environment (Meat Processing manufacturing highly regarded).
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to make cost saving recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex information internally and externally.
- Passionate about driving continue improvement.
- Advanced Excel skills.
