About the role:

JBS are seeking applications for the position of a Maintenance Technician at Brooklyn. This role is dedicated resource to our growing Value Added and Retail Ready element of our business but will sit within the existing site maintenance team in Brooklyn.  We are seeking a skilled and energetic individual who is committed to providing an effective professional preventative maintenance service and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring the availability, reliability and capability of relevant assets and production lines.
  • monitor, follow-up and address issues associated with the implementation and process of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
  • Endorses excellent communication skills to manage day to day tasks, quality, safety issues and escalations to your supervisor
  • Ensure that all work meets all company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills to identify and troubleshoot faults to rectify problems.

 

About you:

  • Have an electrical or mechanical trade qualification with experience and ability to problem solve in the alterative trade area. (Eg, restricted license or experience in pneumatics)
  • Knowledge and experience in packaging machines such as Multivac, Mondini or Vemag
  • Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG
  • have an understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures and possess a understanding of maintenance work management practices
  • Have been Q fever vaccinated or willing to have Q fever vaccination.
  • A disciplined ability to work safely and autonomously in a team environment.
