Maintenance Planner

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic team based in our Brooklyn Plant. The successful applicant for this position will be working closely with the Maintenance team and reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities Include (But Are Not Limited To):
- Develop and maintain the SAP PM Equipment register
- Improve equipment reliability through continuous improvement of preventative maintenance work orders
- Plan, Schedule and monitor completion of maintenance Work Orders
- Program and ensure all statutory requirements are met
- Plan schedule and co-ordinate all major repair tasks in conjunction with plant engineers and maintenance supervisors
- Manage work order workflow to completion by providing coaching and feedback to team members.
- Review SAP historical data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure all documentation and schematics are securely retained, updated and maintained as required
- Co-ordinate teams of trades and non-trades personnel and external contractors
- Ensure company procedures are supported and adhered to, i.e. Permits to Work, Hot Work Permits, isolation and locking out, risk assessments, incident reporting etc.
- Support, co-ordinate and control ongoing maintenance and capital works planning and co-ordination functions for all areas of the Plant
- Develop systems and practices to maximise the benefit of the SAP PM maintenance management system
- Lead the weekly scheduling and Notification meetings.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- A thorough understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures using SAP PM
- A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
- Advanced electrical or mechanical trade or post-trade qualifications and experience is an advantage
- Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate employees and contractors
- The ability to lead and motivate people to continuously improve
- Experience gained from a large heavy industrial organisation.
- Extensive computer skills
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving capacity
- Sound knowledge of OH&S regulations.
