We have an awesome opportunity for a dynamic Afternoon Maintenance Supervisor to bring and foster high-performance mindset at our Brooklyn Food Processing Facility.
This role will play a critical part in providing leadership and Supervision to the team and effectively partner with, and support site quality and operations to enable the achievement of the Plant & Southern/Business Operations Goals through a people-first and safety-first approach and taking a leading role in the provision of best practice..
As the Afternoon Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the afternoon shift maintenance team, overseeing both maintenance shift coverage and preventive maintenance plans. This role also focuses on ensuring the long-term reliability and improvement of our Cold Stores facility and equipment while working collaboratively with safety, quality, and production personnel the Brooklyn Facility.
Our Brooklyn Plant is growing its production at a rapid rate and this new role will be pivotal in tying in the growth and opportunity to move our standards ‘To Be The Best’.
- Direct supervision of afternoon shift maintenance team overseeing coverage of a PM production shift and PM preventative maintenance plans
- Working collaboratively with safety, quality and production personnel.
- Focus on long term reliability and improvement of our Cold Stores facility and equipment
- Undertaking and monitoring the training and development of skilled tradespeople, apprentices and a greaser including improvement of preventative maintenance plans
- Supervising the quality and work performance of trades and maintenance contractors
- Developing and overseeing the required servicing and preventative maintenance programs
- Expense/cost control in designated area
- Abiding by all Policies and Procedures of the company
- Ensuring strict compliance to OH&S legislative requirements
- Ensuring follow-up works are handed over efficiently between shifts and escalation through key contacts.

You will also “bring to the table”:
- Established and experienced trades background either within mechanical or electrical
- Leadership and supervisory skills with proven skills in task delegation and escalation
- Strong communicator with experience dispatching calls over 2 way radios
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Demonstrated efficiency with computers, CMMS software(SAP, MEX) and MS Office packages Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be dynamic and responsive
- Ability to build effective professional relationships with various production departments
- Strong attention to detail
