About the Role

Due to the ongoing growth of the JBS Australia business, we are currently recruiting an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our national Shipping & Docs team in a newly created position. Based at our Southern Operations head office in Port Melbourne, and reporting directly to the General Manager Shipping & Logistics, this role will focus on building effective relationships and coordinating with key stakeholders across our Sales, Cold Stores and Shipping teams to ensure the timely processing of all Southern inventory.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and developing effective relationships with third parties
  • Leading the order processing process to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Booking all Southern airfreight orders
  • Working with the GM Shipping & Logistics to review rate levels across multiple providers to maximize best $/KG
  • Attending regular site visits with suppliers to ensure the integrity of products is maintained to the highest level
  • Liaising with PCP regarding sales dates to ensure airfreight orders are produced and dispatched on time
  • Updating Sales and PCPs with variation on production to sales order
  • Advising Sales of airfreight space versus order requirements
  • Acting as the key contact person for our domestic logistics providers on finished goods
  • Monitoring service levels and liaising with account management
  • Working with Sales to optimize best practice on domestic logistics orders (i.e. $/KG, order dispatch per vehicle)

 

About You

  • Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Previous experience with an ERP system
  • Good process orientation
  • Ability to create tools and processes for multiple site use/application
  • Ability to adapt and react to changing business priorities
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and efficiently (e.g. operational production variances, SKU Codes)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective stakeholder management skills including the ability to liaise with leaders at all levels
  • Intermediate computer skills with advanced application across the MS Office suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Takes other's perspective's into consideration
  • Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement
  • Takes initiative and looks for improvement opportunities enthusiastic
