HR Officer DVP (Mat Leave 12 Months)

Diamond Valley Pork is currently recruiting a Maternity Leave cover (12 months) Human Resources Officer to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role will best suit someone who is passionate, motivated  and people focused.

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • ​​Act as a first point of contact for internal team member employee relations enquiries. 

  • ​Compile weekly HR KPI reports. 

  • ​Ensure compliance with legislation and JBS Policies and Procedures 

  • ​Update and maintain all HR records, employee files and systems database. 

  • ​Ensure Human Resources Management System (HRMS) compliance. 

  • ​Develop effective relationships with all relevant internal stakeholders. 

  • ​Maintain manning levels to meet business requirements. 

  • ​Support the HR BP with HR Initiatives 

  • ​Coordinate the employee recruitment process including screening, interviews & issuing employment offers including local and offshore recruitment. 

  • ​In conjunction with People & Performance and Processing Managers manage discipline matters of workers. 

  • ​Monitor absenteeism and work to improve absenteeism rates. 

  • ​Manage effective relationships with Site Managers. 

  • ​In conjunction with the Training team, identify and coordinate training needs. 

  • ​Manage the employee exit process  

  • ​Ensure annual objectives are regularly reviewed and met. 

  • ​Contribute to key business activities as required. 

  • ​Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes and work instructions at all times.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  

  • Previous experience with SuccessFactors 

  • Strong administration and data processing skills 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Ability to work professionally and effectively within a team environment. 

  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. 

  • Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment. 

  • Highly organised self-starter and committed to seeing projects through to the end. 

  • Background in manufacturing experience is ideal but not essential to be successful in this role.
