This is a hands-on role working closely with plant operations and maintenance personnel.  Your work will be demanding yet rewarding as you provide process and product improvement and assistance to the maintenance teams to optimise safety, quality, equipment availability and reliability outcomes to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of our plant. 

 

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • following structured on-site learning modules in topics such as refrigeration, steam and electrical systems with mentoring from experienced engineers
  • Up to two site placements (eighteen months per site)
  • Structured non-technical development via the Engineering Education Australia Graduate Program
  • Projects set by the senior engineering team designed to challenge you with increasing complexity
  • Rotations through the key areas of our business
  • Support to obtain Chartered (CPEng) Status
  • You must be available to move to other plants throughout your employment.

 

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong drive for operational excellence. You should have:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be considered favourable
  • Organisational and planning skills
  • Competent computer skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Solid analytical skills
  • A sound understanding of OH&S
  • Strong people and leadership skills
