We’re looking for a First Aider to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the health and safety of our people at our Brooklyn Plant. This is your opportunity to make a real impact by providing immediate care, coordinating health initiatives, and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced meat processing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate first aid treatment and support for workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Act as the first point of contact for calls and visitors to the First Aid office.
- Coordinate the Soft Tissue Clinic and pre-employment medicals.
- Conduct eye, hearing, drug, and alcohol screenings.
- Assist with return-to-work processes and maintain accurate health records.
- Complete safety data reports and maintain compliance statistics.
- Support wellbeing initiatives such as skin checks and hearing tests.
- Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and database maintenance.
- Maintain clinic rooms and communal areas to a high standard.
What you will bring to the table:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in first aid; nursing background preferred.
- First Aid qualification essential; recent nursing graduates encouraged to apply.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and considerate under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, professional approach.
- Familiarity with FMCG or manufacturing environments (advantageous).
- Experience with HRIS or ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for compliance and reporting.
- Understanding of Australian workplace health and safety legislation and return-to-work processes.
- Ability to work in a factory setting and comply with hygiene and PPE requirements.
- Flexibility to support production schedules and respond to emergencies.
