About the Role

The JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Melbourne, VIC, on a permanent full-time basis.  Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for consolidating and analysing financial data, ensuring sound balance sheet management, and complying with all financial standards within the JBS Pork Division.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Produce monthly Management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for G&A business units.
• Perform financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
• Spearhead improvements and best practise across finance transformation including new reporting, systems, and processes.
• Manage completeness and accuracy of prepayment register.
• Provide support with internal and external audit requirements.
• Assist in preparing the Fringe benefit tax return and other taxes where required.
• Drive the implementation of improvement initiatives in reporting and accounting support to streamline weekly, month end and quarterly reporting.
• Contribute to key business activities as required.
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions at all times. 
• Perform other duties as directed.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:           

• CPA qualifications.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities.
• Understanding of financial reporting / management reporting and business intelligent systems preferred.
• An ability to formulate practical solutions to complex problems.
• Sound communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and an analytical mind.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Advanced computer skills (particularly MS Excel).
