We have an awesome opportunity for a dynamic Facilities Manager to bring and foster high-performance mindset at our Brooklyn Food Processing Facility.

 

This role will play a critical part in providing leadership and Supervision to the team and effectively partner with, and support site quality and operations to enable the achievement of the Plant & Southern/Business Operations Goals through a people-first and safety-first approach and taking a leading role in the provision of best practice sanitation processes, systems and support.

 

As the Facilities Manager, you will play a pivotal role in Managing and Supporting key functions across the Brooklyn Facility.

 

Our Brooklyn Plant is growing its production at a rapid rate and this new role will be pivotal in tying in the growth and opportunity to move our standards ‘To Be The Best’.

 

  • Plant Sanitation Responsibilities (In Production and Out)
  • All Laundry and PPE
  • Site Security
  • Site Grounds Maintenance
  • Over See Sustainability and plant Special Projects
  • All Plant Guest and Plant Event Coordination’s
  • Chemical Storage and Control
  • Contractor Management
  • Plant and Equipment Control and Servicing
  • Coordinate IT Support
  • Supporting All Sections Managers in their development plans

Other key areas of your roles will include;

 

  • Providing Task direction and efficient & effective work practices, guidance & support to the Sanitation team.
  • Ensure successful pre-op checks are achieved through taking a leading role in the provision of best practice processes, systems and support.
  • Review the effectiveness, efficiency and consistency of sanitation processes and make improvements as required.
  • Effectively Supervise changes to processes and procedures in line with the broader company direction.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure the effective application of processes and procedures, the identification and realization of improvements, and the development of collaborative relationships.
  • Ensure Safe Usage of Hazardous Chemical procedures are being followed in line with JBS policy and procedure, task descriptions and the SDS.
  • Ensure Isolation and Lock-out procedures are being followed in line with JBS policy and procedure, task descriptions and the SDS.
  • Report and actively follow through on hazards and maintenance concerns.
  • ...and you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong drive for operational excellence.
  • Responsible to Cost Control and Efficiency across their functions.
  • Manage a large but diverse group with cross function tasks and responsilities.

 

You will also “bring to the table”:

 

  • Proven experience similar role, particularly in multisite or large organisations
  • The ability to work professionally and effectively within a team environment as a leader
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and  in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail whilst being able to multi task
  • Sound planning and organisational skills.
