About the role:

Due to the ongoing growth of the JBS Australia business and now an Approved Employer for the PALM Mobility Program. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, this position will play a pivotal role responsible for the lifecycle delivery of the initial onboarding activities as well as the ongoing pastoral care of our internationally sourced employee groups through the PALM Mobility Program (Pacific Labour Scheme).

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide end to end, hands-on support and pastoral care to new employees across a range of new arrival activities including; Accommodation; Transport; Shopping; Banking; & Communications.
  • Work with the Pacific Labour Facility (PLF) to ensure efficiency and sponsor obligations are met
  • Manage site expectations on PALM resourcing based on reporting, candidate arrivals and process updates
  • Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholder to provide direction, advice and query management
  • Support on continual process improvement efficiencies
  • Ad hoc reporting as required by the business units
  • Maintain accurate data records for immigration and reporting purposes

 

About you:

  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role, ideally with a high-volume blue-collar workforce
  • Working knowledge and application with offshore recruitment, including mobility (“in country” & domestically) through DFAT
  • Familiarity/experience working with the PLF (Pacific Labour Facility) in coordinating/supporting the PALM Scheme
  • Experience working with an “Approved Employer” under the auspices of The PALM Scheme (Pacific Australia Labour Mobility)
  • Knowledge of worker placements from one of the 9 Pacific Island Countries covered by the PALM Scheme
  • Demonstrated ability to provide situational leadership
  • Competently identifies cause & effect relationships
  • Responds calmly in difficult situations maintaining a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-skill
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Makes self fully available as required
