Driver

This position is responsible for coordinating the distribution of pork products through Baxter’s Distribution Centre.

• Assist with unloading carcases.
• Assist in sorting carcasses into individual runs.
• Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Ensure timely delivery of carcasses and boxed pork products to customers.
• Ensure correct products are delivered and are in good order.
• Return hooks and gambrels from customers.
• Collect payments from customers.
• Ensure truck is clean and hygiene standards are adhered to.
• Notify variances in loads at completion of shift.
• Obey all traffic regulations and drive in a safe manner at all times.
• Comply with Company Vehicle Policy.                            
• Ensure annual objectives are regularly reviewed and met.
• Contribute to key business activities as required.
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes and work instructions at all times.
• Perform other duties as directed.

• Sound knowledge of the Melbourne road network.
• Demonstrated understanding of safe manual handling techniques and hygiene standards.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Strong communication skills, initiative and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Current HR truck licence.
• Forklift licence (desirable).
