DMM and Offal Area Leader

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated DMM & Offal Room Area Leader at our Brooklyn Plant. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both the DMM and Offal departments, ensuring the highest standards of safety, food quality, productivity and team performance are achieved. Working closely with Production and QA teams, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise and develop employees across the DMM and Offal departments.
• Coordinate daily production activities to ensure operational targets are achieved.
• Monitor productivity, yields and labour utilisation to maximise efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance and customer requirements.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across both departments.
• Train, mentor and support team members to achieve operational success.
• Liaise with QA, maintenance and regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance standards are maintained.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and team performance.
• Complete production reporting and departmental documentation accurately and on time.

You'll bring to the table:

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within the meat processing industry.
• Sound knowledge of meat processing operations, preferably within Offal, DMM or value-added production environments.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to food safety, quality and workplace safety.
• Sound organisational and time management skills.
