Credit Officer

About the Role:
Join JBS Australia’s D.R. Johnston team as a Credit Officer, where you’ll play a key role in managing a high-volume credit control environment. This position is critical to ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and driving continuous improvement across our credit operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and enforce Group Credit Control policies across teams and departments.
• Analyse and manage the DRJ credit portfolio to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular reviews of customer account terms, credit limits, and payment securities.
• Initiate legal action, collection processes, and manage doubtful debts.
• Identify and resolve root cause issues impacting credit performance.
• Drive reduction in debtor days through proactive strategies.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform external credit checks using preferred reporting agencies.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable and credit assessment.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to support remote teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Analytical mindset with sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional time management and organisational capabilities.
• SAP experience is highly desirable.
