An exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Production Control and Planning Coordinator exists in our Lamb team in Brooklyn. We are Australia’s largest Meat Processor located just 15 minutes west of the Melbourne CBD looking to add to our already dynamic and diverse team someone who has passion and drive.

As a PCP Lamb you will play a pivotal role in:

• Generating daily/weekly optimized production plans and schedules that balance supply and demand variables
• Generating a labour resource plan optimized to production schedule requirements
• Working closely with the Production & Sales teams enabling clear communication and alignment of business outcomes
• Optimisation of plant resources and costs through identification and execution of scheduling improvements
• Driving for continuous improvement in the planning/scheduling process and participation in specific projects as required
• Resolving production planning issues as required, utilizing appropriate procedures and frameworks
• Compiling weekly reports on production performance & providing recommendations on planning opportunities that can improve Plant productivity
• Challenging existing practices & promote planning efficiencies
• Ensuring full compliance with regulation policies, procedures to maximise safety in the workplace

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong drive for operational excellence. You should have:

• Demonstrated knowledge and concepts of production planning / scheduling within a complex and fast-moving manufacturing environment
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to make recommendations and deliver efficiencies and cost savings
• Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Team player with strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex information cross functionally in a structured way
• Ability to tackle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management and organisational skills whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills and tertiary studies in Business or equivalent
