About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to support the organisation’s commercial performance by delivering accurate costings, maintaining high-quality master data, and developing robust financial models to inform strategic and operational decision-making.

Based in Port Melbourne, with some travel to our Laverton site, this role provides reliable cost insights and partners cross-functionally to drive consistency, efficiency, and strong financial control.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Product Costing: Maintain accurate cost models, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and variance analysis.
• NPD Support: Partner cross‑functionally to assess product feasibility and costs.
• Master Data: Ensure ERP data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.
• Business Partnering: Provide insights on costs, efficiencies, and margins.
• Reporting: Deliver timely financial analysis and performance insights.
• Continuous Improvement: Enhance costing processes and drive automation.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience in costing, FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills (advanced Excel)
• Ability to influence stakeholders and translate data into insights
• Commercial mindset with a proactive approach

Desirable skills & experience

• CPA/CA or MBA
• Manufacturing or production experience
• ERP (SAP) and BI tools (Power BI, Qlik) experience
• Continuous improvement exposure
