JBS Australia’s Southern Division, headquartered in Melbourne, has the largest multi-species processing facility in Australia, processing beef, sheep, and goats. JBS Brooklyn is currently recruiting a Chiller Assessor in Beef. As our Chiller Assessor you will contribute to the overall success of the Brooklyn Plant, with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Visually assess carcases as per Aus-meat / MSA requirements
• Check documentation
• Use a handheld DCU to enter grading data
• Upload and generate reports
• Calibration of equipment
• Correct grade positively identified by company grading system
• Report any no compliance of carcase segregation to senior management

About you:

• Previous experience in meat processing facility
• Statement of attainment in chiller/ assessment for Aus-meat / MSA highly regarded
• Intermediate computer literacy (particularly MS Office)
• Understand and comply with Workplace Health and Safety standard
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of the team and individually
• Ability to follow JBS Australia Policies and Procedures
• Ability to communicate and work seamlessly with internal stakeholders
• Willing to undergo Q fever Immunisation
