An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Beef Chillers Area Leader to join our Brooklyn Plant. Working in a hand‑on capacity, you will provide guidance, leadership, and mentoring to our Chillers team while driving initiatives that enhance our high standards of safety, quality, and animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the beef chillers area to ensure efficient carcass flow and optimal product temperature management.
- Assist the Beef Shift Supervisor in coordinating, organising, and managing shift activities.
- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations, food safety requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor product quality, chilling performance, and inventory accuracy throughout the process.
- Train, mentor, and supervise team members to build capability and improve performance.
- Collaborate closely with Slaughter, Boning and Quality Assurance teams to maintain seamless workflow.
- Maintain accurate records, temperature logs, batch tracking, and performance reports.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong drive for operational excellence.
You’ll bring to the table;
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the beef or meat processing industry.
- Strong knowledge of chiller operations, carcass management, and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
