Livestock Administration Assistant
Swift & Company Trade Group is located in Queensland and is the international trading division of JBS. Our trading office has supplied to international markets for over 50 years trading a variety of protein products including beef, sheep, goat, pork, poultry and game meats along with by products including meat and bone meal and tallow.
About the role
JBS Australia is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Livestock Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team at our Longford facility. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Accurately and efficiently processing all administrative tasks within the Livestock Accounts department.
- Accounts payable data entry, including coding and processing of approved invoices relating to livestock, freight, and plant expenses.
- Reconciling vendor statements and managing related enquiries.
- Assisting with month-end reporting, including livestock and vendor accruals.
- Completing filing and general administrative duties in a timely manner.
- Liaising with key internal stakeholders across various departments.
- Managing incoming calls and responding to email enquiries.
- Providing general administrative support and data entry as required.
Criteria for selection include (but is not limited to):
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable, ideally within a livestock or similar environment.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail with the ability to handle large volumes of data.
- The ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
