About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists at our Longford Plant for a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Officer in Charge.
This role will be responsible for the food safety, quality and legislative compliance of the site, providing leadership, management and support across the business to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):
- Review daily monitoring forms.
- Monitor all facets of customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal audits when required.
- Report to the FSQA Management any inadequacy in approved programs or processing procedures.
- Cover the FSQA Managers role and responsibilities in her/his absence.
- Undertake customer and regulatory audits.
- Data entry.
- Undertake other related activities as directed.
Criteria for selection will include (but is not limited to):
- Highly developed time management skills including prioritizing tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to generate, analyse and circulate results in a timely manner.
- Intermediate computer literacy (particularly MS Office).
- Highly developed verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of company specifications and customer requirements.
- Ausmeat Accreditations would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise in the understanding and implementation of Quality Assurance and HACCP Principles.
- Demonstrated ability to identify critical aspects of production.
- Knowledge of Slaughter Floor, Boning Room and Cold
- Store processes would be an advantage.
- Internal auditing experience and qualifications would be favourably received.
- Animal welfare officer skill set would be an advantage.
