About the Role:

An exciting opportunity currently exists at our Longford plant for a full time By-Products Labourer.

The role’s responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Leading an experienced team.
• Cleaning/Sanitation of Yards and By-Products areas
• Processing of raw material
• Vehicle and other Heavy Mechanical operations
• Product Quality Monitoring
• Processing treatment of Wastewater
• Chemical Handling

About you:

• Demonstrate integrity and professional attitude to work.
• Valid Forklift ticket or ability and willingness to complete and pass a course.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Must be flexible to work afternoon and night shift (penalties apply)
• Good communication skills on all levels are essential.
• A strong focus on Safety for all team members
• A strong focus on product quality
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organizational & time management qualities.
• A commitment to personal learning and development.

The Longford region is predominantly agricultural, noted for wool, dairy produce and stock breeding. With its high rainfall and cold winters, it’s a perfect environment for growing pasture-fed cattle.

Longford’s complex medium sized fully integrated processing facility produces a range of grass and grain fed beef products under brands such as King Island Beef, Red Gum, Great Southern, Pinnacle and Little Joes.

JBS Longford exports to over 30 countries around the world including Brazil, China, Switzerland and the EU. Longford’s plant employs approximately 350 team members with a current processing capacity of 500 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days a week.
