JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. We have a strong portfolio of leading and renowned beef, lamb, pork, salmon and value-added branded products, such as AMH, Swift, Primo, Murray Valley and Huon.

Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Beef plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere.

Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW. Being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 420 people with a current processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.

About the Role

The JBS Riverina Plant is currently recruiting multiple Packers and General Labourers to join our Processing team in a full-time capacity. This is a great opportunity to enter into a career at an entry level with no experience necessary.

As a Packer or General Labourer, you will be eager to train and work in various areas of our processing plant. This is a fast-paced physical role with a strong focus on safety and quality.

About You

• Experience in a similar role highly regarded, though not required (all training will be provided)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to take direction
• Ability to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Superior attendance and a dedicated work ethic
• A professional work attitude
• Access to reliable transport
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and physical examinations
