Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Beef plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere.
Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW. Being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 420 people with a current processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.

About the Role
Our Riverina Plant is currently recruiting an experienced Kill Floor Foreperson to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the KF Supervisor, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a local, community minded team with all the access to global training and resources.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising all aspects of the Kill Floor/Follow On and Offal Room
- Ensuring compliance with all WH&S and Environmental regulations
- Ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance and MSQA programmes and processes
- Ensuring revenue maximisation and cost control
- Ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Ensuring timely and accurate record keeping and information/paperwork flow
- Active participating in workplace projects
About You
- Previous leadership experience in a similar food manufacturing/processing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting all requirements in relation to food safety, people safety and maintenance and enhancement of brand integrity
- High level of integrity and a professional work attitude
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Sound technical knowledge of meat processing including product flow and manning requirements
- Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities
- Highly developed time management skills including prioritising and multi-tasking
