Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Feedlot is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot, and processing facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality.
Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW. Being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The Feedlot has a capacity of 53,333 head, employs approximately 60 team members, and has a strong reputation for producing award winning grain-fed beef for key domestic and international customers.
About the Role
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operation of feed trucks and equipment in order to achieve accurate and timely delivery of feed to the cattle
- Ensuring that feed bunks and feeding equipment is maintained in accordance with QA requirements
- Completing daily pre-operational checks on machinery and assisting with maintaining vehicles and machinery to the highest standards
- Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations
About You
- A demonstrated ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
- Previous experience operating and maintaining machinery, including trucks
- A high level of initiative, attention to details and the ability to meet deadlines
- Basic computer literacy skills
