Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Feedlot is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot, and processing facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality. 

Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW. Being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The Feedlot has a capacity of 53,333 head, employs approximately 60 team members, and has a strong reputation for producing award winning grain-fed beef for key domestic and international customers.

About the Role

The JBS Riverina Feedlot is currently recruiting an experienced Feed Allocator to join the Milling team in a full-time capacity. This position would best suit a local employee, looking for a stable, long-term opportunity within a global organisation.  

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Daily feed allocation and feed bunk calling
• Feed allocation and feed delivery ensuring operational targets are met
• Maintaining bunk hygiene
• Front end loader operations, machinery operation and feed truck driving as required
• Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations

About You

• Previous experience in a similar feed allocation, mixing and feed delivery role
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
• Previous experience operating and maintaining machinery, including trucks
• High level of initiative
• Strong attention to details
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Basic computer literacy skills
