Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Feedlot is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot, and processing facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality.
Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW. Being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The Feedlot has a capacity of 53,333 head, employs approximately 60 team members, and has a strong reputation for producing award winning grain-fed beef for key domestic and international customers.

About the Role
Our Riverina Feedlot is currently recruiting an experienced Farm Hand to join our hard-working team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Land and crop preparation including cultivation and spraying
- Irrigation operations
- Operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment, including broad acre, row crop implements and tractors
- General farming duties as required
- Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations
About You
- Broad acre dry land farming experience
- Demonstrated agricultural machinery, plant operation and maintenance experience
- Experience with flood irrigation and row crop irrigation machinery advantageous
- High levels of self-motivation, initiative and enthusiasm
- Ability to work well independently and remotely dependent on cropping programs
