About the role:

Due to the steady, ongoing growth of the JBS business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for passionate trainers to join the People & Culture team as Group Workplace Trainer & Assessors.

 

We have 2 positions available based at our Northern Operations head office in Riverview (Ipswich). These positions will work across both Corporate and Production functions and report directly to the Team Leader of Group Training.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Planning, delivering and conducting assessments
  • Providing training, advice and guidance to students throughout their learning experience
  • Delivery of learning using a variety of methods including classroom, virtual, on-site and general discussions
  • Identifying areas for improvement and advise recommending changes as required
  • Act as the first point of contact for student support
  • Identifying learning needs and working with site to determine possible solutions
  • Providing additional assistance where LLN/disability is identified and requires reasonable adjustment
  • Completing regular validation of learning materials, as the subject matter expert
  • Reviewing and updating any inconsistencies within assessments and training materials
  • Planning future training sessions both classroom and virtual
  • Assisting in scheduling training and assessment of students based on site requirements
  • Checking accuracy of paperwork and ensuring student requirements are met
  • General administration as required

 

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Workplace Trainer and Assessor position
  • Natural ability to support others and encourage learning
  • Responds calmly in difficult situations, maintaining a strong customer service focus
  • Able to consider other people’s perspectives
  • Strong computer literacy skills including MS word and outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and also within a team environment
  • Must be passionate and willing to consider continuous improvement opportunities
  • Able to partner with site staff and support learning and development practices
  • Able to identify opportunities for improvement and acts in the best interest of all stakeholders
  • Able to make self fully available as required

 

Please note: These roles will require regular travel to various intrastate sites across the JBS network.
