Fleet Allocator

About the Role

Based at Riverview (Ipswich), JBS Carriers is seeking an experienced Fleet Allocator to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this critical role sits at the heart of daily operations and has a direct impact on fleet utilisation, cost efficiency, service delivery, and compliance across the business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Plan, schedule and allocate daily truck and trailer movements
• Coordinate driver runs, ensuring efficient route planning, load optimisations and on-time delivery performance
• Monitor fleet movements in real time, adjusting schedules to manage delays, breakdowns, urgent orders or customer changes
• Promote a safe, positive work environment and maintain alignment with company policies
• Ensuring key service objectives and KPI’s are met
• Utilise company assets and contractors in a cost-effective manner
• Manage customer relations
• Ensure all legislative requirements are met
• Maintenance scheduling

About You

• Sound knowledge of transport systems
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment to achieve the overall objectives of the business
• Knowledge of Transport Regulations including Fatigue, Chain of Responsibility and Mass and Maintenance under NHVR
• Current Drivers Licence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement
• Flexible to take calls as required afterhours and on the weekend
• Previous experience in transport or logistics and Refrigerated Freight movements and allocations
• Experience in coordinating and managing the administrative operations of a truck and trailer fleet, covering both interstate and local transport movements
