About the Role
JBS Pork Australia is currently recruiting for an HR Officer - Farming to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the HR Business Partner – Farms, you will be responsible for supporting HR operations Farming & Stockfeeds by coordinating HR processes and contributing to engagement and HR improvements across the division. This position will be based at our Huntly site in Victoria.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate and support end to end recruitment processes, including screening, interviews, employment offers, and onboarding.
- Support the Training Coordinator where required with conducting inductions for new employees.
- Build and manage effective relationships with Site Managers.
- Provide basic HR advice and coaching to managers and employees, escalating as required.
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics such as absenteeism, turnover and performance trends and implement plans to improve.
- Support performance management processes, including disciplinary actions and workplace investigations.
- Collaborate with Site Managers to manage employee engagement and pastoral care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and HR systems, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Facilitate and schedule onsite physiotherapist consultations for musculoskeletal injuries.
- Arrange GP appointments for injuries requiring more than immediate first aid intervention.
- Guide injured workers through treatment expectations and organisational RTW obligations.
- Identify early indicators of psychosocial, behavioural, or medical risk and escalate these concerns to the GIMA promptly.
- Promote a culture of early reporting and early intervention across the site
- Support to implement any new HR initiatives and systems.
- Contribute to key business activities as required.
- Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions at all times.
- Perform other duties as directed.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualification in HR or equivalent experience in HR or a related field.
- Atleast 3 years experience in a HR role.
- Demonstrated experience withing the Return To Work space.
- Demonstrated understanding/working knowledge of HR practices and policies.
- Understanding of Farm and Stockfeed processes from an HR perspective (highly desirable).
- Working knowledge of Work Health & Safety and Quality Assurance.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain records, files, and databases with strong attention to detail.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Current driver’s license.
