About the Role

JBS Dinmore are currently recruiting an experienced Stockperson to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Livestock Office, this role will best suit someone who is passionate about the cattle industry, and is available to work Monday to Thursday, 10am to 8pm with some overtime required during weekends on a rotational basis. The role incorporates various tasks associated with the receival, movement and record keeping of cattle.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily livestock handling including stock movements, pen up, drafting, taking delivery of cattle etc.
  • Maintaining accurate records of stock movements
  • Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare and Environmental obligations
  • Maintaining yards as required

  • Proven horsemanship skills
  • Ability to supply own horses and related equipment (e.g. saddle, bridle)
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound organisational skills
  • Strong commitment to animal welfare
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability and flexibility to participate in a rotating roster
