The JBS Dinmore Processing Plant is the largest beef facility in the southern hemisphere. Located near Ipswich, in south east Queensland, the facility has a daily production ability of 3,400 cattle and employs approximately 1,500 people. Cattle are sourced from the finest cattle producing regions to produce a diverse range of pasture fed and grain beef products, from commodity to premium. The renowned AMH brand, the award-winning Yardstick, the highly marbled grain fed Pure Prime and our state’s brand, Queenslander Beef and more are all produced at Dinmore.

 

About the Role

JBS Dinmore is currently recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Officer in Charge (OIC) to join the Dinmore Food Safety and QA Team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Dinmore QA Manager, the QA OIC will be responsible for the production of a quality product which not only meets our customer requirements, but also meets all other criteria in accordance with AQIS and AUS MEAT requirements.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Instilling a work ethic focused on Food Safety, Quality of Product, Safety, pride of workmanship and teamwork
  • Ensuring no financial claims arise from poor workmanship, incorrect specification, excess fat percentage or off microbial condition
  • Establishing the Dinmore plant as a location which can meet international standards
  • Ensuring quality production is used in the processing, preparation, and dispatch parameters as laid down in government regulations, both internally and externally to Australia
  • Liaising with AQIS and other regulatory bodies when and where necessary so that all established guidelines are met
  • Participating in internal and external audits
  • Monitoring total hygiene practices in amenities, production areas, and render department on a daily basis

 

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar QA role within the meat industry
  • Successful completion of the required AUS MEAT levels of competency and any other qualifications required by statutory authorities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills
  • Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
