About the Dinmore Plant
Located near Ipswich, Queensland, the JBS Dinmore Processing Plant is the largest beef facility in the southern hemisphere. With the capacity to process up to 3,400 cattle per day and employing around 1,500 team members, Dinmore is a key part of our Australian operations. About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Dinmore team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Plant Engineer, you’ll lead a skilled team of tradespeople and apprentices, overseeing all maintenance activities across the plant to ensure production runs safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, planning, and motivating others in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of approximately 12 tradespeople, apprentices and a greaser
- Supervise and monitor the quality of work by trades staff and contractors
- Develop, manage and continuously improve preventative maintenance programs
- Control costs and manage resources effectively
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with company policies, procedures and OH&S standards
- Coordinate efficient handovers and communication between shifts
About You
- Qualified tradesperson with experience in either mechanical or electrical maintenance
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational, planning and communication skills
- Proficient with computer systems and MS Office
- Practical problem-solving and analytical skills
- Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to build positive relationships across departments
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Willingness to work a 24-hour rotating roster (including weekends)
